The project was customized with small-aperture, closed-cell foam aluminum panels featuring an anodic oxidation surface, which provides a matte metallic texture that complements the brand's theme of “Future Lab” perfectly. The material not only possesses the durability of natural aluminum but can also be painted to achieve color gradation or a stone-like texture, which meets the brand's stringent requirements for visual impact.
Sound absorption and noise reduction to optimize consumer experience
Optical stores are usually located in busy business districts, and external noise easily interferes with the atmosphere inside the store. The sound absorption coefficient of aluminum foam is as high as 0.75 (NRC value), which can effectively absorb low and medium-frequency noise and provide customers with a quiet environment for trying on. Its internal porous structure dissipates energy through the dual mechanism of acoustic vibration and air friction, and the noise reduction effect is more than two times that of the traditional color steel plate.
Lightweight and structural safety
The density of aluminum foam is only 0.2-0.4 g/cm³ (about 1/10 of pure aluminum), which greatly reduces the overall weight of the facade decoration structure, and at the same time achieves a balance between impact resistance and lightweighting through the layered pore design (e.g., outer high-density, inner low-density). Experimental data shows an energy absorption capacity of up to 3,430 kJ/m³, ensuring long-term safety even in high-traffic areas.

The patented APM (Advanced Pore Morphology) manufacturing technology is used in this project, which ensures the optimal solution of the mechanical properties and aesthetic performance of the material by precisely controlling the pore size (0.5-5 mm) and the distribution of the pores. 3D scanning technology is also used to capture the subtle differences in the curved surface structure of the store, realizing millimeter-level splicing of the aluminum foam panels and eliminating the common problems of traditional metal decoration. Splicing eliminates the common problem of seams in traditional metal decoration.
