Which is more conductive, copper foam or copper?

The ability of an object to pass an electric current is called conduction. Different metals have different conductivities, generally silver has the best conductivity, followed by copper and gold. As a conductive metal other than silver, copper is usually used in important cables and conductive plates. The higher the purity, the better the conductivity.
As a 3D porous structure material made of copper as raw material, the better the quality of copper foam and the higher the manufacturing technology, the higher the purity of copper, and the better the electrical conductivity accordingly.
The electrical conductivity of metal foam is related to the electrical conductivity of the bulk metal. In many cases, there are oxides with poor conductivity on the surface of the base metal, and there are a lot of bad conductors of electricity in the porous structure of the foamed metal, so the conductivity of the foamed metal is not as good as that of the bulk metal.
In the balance of electrical conductivity and 3D porous structure, several models have been developed that take into account both. In application, although the electrical conductivity is not as good as that of solid pure copper cables and sheets, the advantages of the 3D porous structure are fully exerted. Compared with non-solid pure copper material, the electrical conductivity of copper foam is better.
